Indoor Maternity Boudoir

This indoor maternity boudoir session happened in my Tucson portrait studio. I love doing indoor maternity boudoir photos because they can happen any time of day, regardless of weather (or Tucson high summer temps!) and are super sexy. Maternity boudoir takes maternity photos and turns them up on their end, raising them to a whole different level. Sometimes the mama-to-be wants to do these by herself, and sometimes she brings her significant other along (like this couple did!), either way the photos are always amazing.

Indoor maternity boudoir photos are a great way to celebrate your body – all the incredible changes that are happening – while still feeling sexy and powerful. It doesn’t have to involve lingerie, but it can. It can also be completely nude if you are comfortable with that! Celebrating your body in every stage of your life is a great way to feel empowered. There are lots of wonderful dresses you can buy for an indoor maternity boudoir session from places like Sew Trendy that show a little belly, or are even see-through, but if you don’t want to do a dress, lingerie can work as well. From a bra and boy shorts that show the belly to a lacy body suit that you can also buy online, they all work beautifully. Sometimes you don’t even have to buy something specific to maternity as some of these materials are stretchy and work even better when worn as maternity. Lace is always a good choice, but even something like fishnet can actually work really well. Amazon or Pinterest are great places to take a look for ideas if you are stumped.
