Bodyscape With Fabric and Light

This is a collection of some of my favorite bodyscape photography. Bodyscaping, to me, means highlighting and rimming the edges of the body with light, sometimes without clothing and sometimes with fabric. This is something that works beautifully for boudoir photos, as an add on to your session, or also for maternity photos – highlighting the belly and the body with light and shaping with shadow or adding a long flowing dress and using the same kind of lighting to just highlight the belly as the dress flows around you, as the fabric does below.

If you’re interested in booking a Bodyscape session, or adding bodyscaping to your boudoir session or your studio maternity session, I’d love to work with you!

A Bodyscape session falls under my Fine Art Nude rather than traditional Boudoir photography however, as you can see in the below images, adding fabric can be a way to get the same effect without showing anything you don’t want showing, as we might do in maternity photos.

All the women below have given their written permission to be featured on my website! A big thank you to all of them!

This fan-favorite among women showcases the softer side, the side that is a little more focused on the whole and less on the parts, and this is one even the most discerning woman will probably be a fan of! This one also looks good in color or black and white, and in natural light or studio light. And if you still aren’t convinced that your butt in the light of day is for you, you should try my bodyscaping. […]
