C is looking to be a tattoo model so she came to me for studio photos that showcased her awesome tats. I chose to do the session in the style of boudoir photography especially since she had an amazing body and, of course, most of it needed to be revealed to truly see the art.
Using contrast, Alien Bee Studio lights, and a basic black backdrop really emphasized her curves and angles and helped the colors pop. I chose to make a few images black and white to really showcase the detail of the art without the distraction of color.
We also used some of the bare studio walls, a nice neutral color that creates a great background for soft, natural light photos, but I decided to use the studio lights here as well, introducing some hard edges and contrast.
All together it was a fantastic session!
